About Us

From the marina to the villa

Panama Yacht & Lifestyle began, as most good ideas do, at the end of a long charter. After a fortnight island-hopping through Indonesia, our small team came ashore, checked into a staffed villa, and realised nobody was really writing honestly about the way these two worlds fit together — the deck and the garden, the anchorage and the estate.

So we started this journal. We cover the marinas worth berthing in, the charters worth booking, and the private villas that make the best possible land legs after a week at sea. It's a small, independent publication with a simple bias: we care more about how a place actually feels than how it photographs.

What we write about

Our focus sits squarely in luxury travel across Southeast Asia — Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and, above all, Bali. Some pieces are practical, weighing charter costs against villa rates. Others are simply notes from the water. What ties them together is a belief that the finest holidays often pair movement with stillness: a few days under sail, then a few days by a very large pool.

Who we are

The journal is edited by Marcus Holloway, a lifelong sailor who has spent more nights than he can count in cramped cabins and, latterly, rather more comfortable villa suites. He writes most of what you'll find here, with occasional help from friends in the charter and hospitality trade.
